NTPC Talaipalli, on February 18, Friday, hosted the visit of NTPC’s Director-Operations, Shri Ramesh Babu V, and Director-Finance, Shri Jaikumar Srinivasan. The senior officials set out on a brief tour of the NTPC Talaipalli coal mines and the areas associated with project. The directors, after the field visit, also sat for a review and highlights session, which also involved a thorough presentation on various issues and future goals of the coal mining project.
The two officials first paid visit to the wharf wall at Raikera village in Gharghoda. After reviewing the despatch aspect of TLCMP, the directors headed towards the mines, starting with West Pit, followed by South Pit Extension. During their visit to the mines, the senior leaders of NTPC got to interact and get acquainted with the young and dynamic team of engineers, executive trainees, and diploma trainees.
After the mines, the convoy escorting the two directors headed to the NTPC Talaipalli Administrative Building located in Raikers village. Here, a review and highlight meeting was organised. Accompanying the directors, during the review gathering, were Shri Diwakar Kaushik, Head of Project, NTPC Lara, Shri A.K Tandon, Head of Project, NTPC Darliapalli, and Shri Neeraj Jalota, Head of Project, NTPC Dulanga.
The review and highlight gathering churned out some very fruitful and viable insights that the two directors shared with the room. A video showcasing the Talaipalli Coal Mining Project in all its glory was also played during the meeting. The visit paid by Director- Operations and Director- Finance was commemorated by the launch of C-section road leading up to Kosal Vihar, NTPC Talaipalli Township.
The dignitaries were welcomed at the inauguration site amid a pompous show put up by vibrant dancers performing the folk dance ‘Karma.’ After inaugurating the road, the entourage moved towards the tree plantation ceremony. With this done, the guests had lunch and some cheerful conversations before biding adieu to NTPC Talaipalli.
